when two networks are better than one
Our patented Link Aggregation solution improves video streaming, voice, data and augmented reality applications by combining Wi-Fi and mobile network throughput for higher reliability and faster speeds.
Avoid network slowdowns and degradation of service caused by congestion or poor coverage by utilizing all available networks to increase network capacity. Carnegie Technologies’ patented algorithms aggregate network traffic over LTE, Wi-Fi, satellite, DSL, cable, or other IP networks.
Link Aggregation is offered as a part of our NCP SDK that can be integrated into existing Android and iOS applications or as standalone application for Android, Linux, embedded, and telematics devices.
Consistent Network Quality
Aggregation combines networks so that the changing network environment is unperceivable to the end user. Integrating all the networks into a single on-device interface whilst under-the-hood prioritizing network traffic over the link with lowest latency and highest reliability ensures the best service and experience to the end customer. This is good for applications which prefer low latency or low packet loss, such as VoIP apps, gaming, and conferencing.
The benefits of the Consistent Network Quality aggregation mode:
- Reliable and uninterrupted networking experience, even when the device is moving around within the coverage of each network.
- Delivering the business case for lower cost networking. App traffic is directed over the link which meets the requirements of the app, whilst costing the least to the service provider.
Consistent Throughput at Minimal Cost
Aggregation combines networks to achieve a target level of throughput, using lower cost networks as a preference. It will take as much data as it can through the primary low-cost link and supplement that from the other networks to achieve a minimum throughput. This is good for applications which need a minimum throughput level, or where adding bandwidth doesn't provide a better experience, for instance, video streaming (where the bandwidth should match the requirements of the video stream for that particular screen size).
The benefits of the Consistent Throughput aggregation mode:
Maximize the throughput from the lower cost links, providing immediate service cost reductions
Supplement the lower costs networks with other available networks to meet a desired performance which will ensure customer satisfaction.
All the available links on the device are combined to ensure that the maximum throughput is available to those customers which need to access high bandwidth content as fast as possible. This is good for applications where a faster network provides a better experience, for instance, web browsing, file upload/download, and speed tests.
The benefits of the Maximum Throughput aggregation mode:
Deliver the fastest possible speeds to those end customers who expect it
Constantly deliver on promises for a minimum service speed
